Taylors Doors manufactures Mini Fire Resistant doors utilising a vermiculite core (TVC-30) which is stable and contains no asbestos.
Mini Fire Resistant Doors are generally used in residential application such as unit entry doors, fire stair doors and store room doors. For commercial applications and high traffic areas we would recommend Maxi Fire Resistant Doors.
Mini Fire Resistant doors are edged with an internal (nominal) 10mm solid timber edge rail to all four (4) sides with a selection of door facings dependant on the finish required and/or fire rating required.
If you require a double leaf door or pivot door you will have to consider a Maxi Fire Resistant door.
Our standard range of door facings include;
- Paint Grade Ply (sheet thickness 3.6mm)
- Duracote Tempered Hardboard (sheet thickness 3.2mm)
- MDF (sheet thickness 4mm or 6mm where routed patterns are requested)
- If 6mm face sheeting is used this will require a larger frame rebate to accomodate the additional door thickness)
The core used in the manufacture of our Mini Fire Resistant doors is 29.2mm thick.
Dependant on the facing required the finish thickness of the Mini Fire Resistant door will vary.

Maximum Height/Width (mm) of a Mini Fire Resistant door is 2400mm high x 1200mm wide. If you require a higher or wider fire rated door you will have to consider a Maxi Fire Resistant doors.

- Seal provisions (routed provision in the bottom of the door)
- Tunnel lock provisions (a drilled cable transfer hole through the width of the door leaf for electric locks)
- Custom route pattern facings (suitable for MDF faced doors only with MDF face sheet thickness increased from 4mm to 6mm giving an additional 4mm door thickness)
- Bollection mouldings (customer to specify moulding design as we do not carry a standard moulding maximum moulding size 20mm high x 40mm wide)
- External edge rails
- Special veneer facings
