Pressed metal door frames can be finished in a number of ways depending on your specific requirement. Finishing options are provided to cater for a range of specification requirements.

Bare

A bare finish is the standard finish of the base frame material. This finishing method is suitable for frames which require powder coating or where the finishing is to be undertaken by others. If you are ordering a frame which is to be subsequently powder coated this needs to be specified at the time of order to ensure the frames are marked with their identification number on the inside of the frame profile and that no spot priming is undertaken.

Spot Primed

For Knock Down, TJS and Assembled frames after welding and grinding the welds are spot primed. This applies to Zincanneal (grey primer) and Galvabond (silver primer) base material which are both coated steels.

Primed

For Knock Down, TJS and Assembled frames after welding and grinding the frames are fully spray primed. This applies to Zincanneal (grey primer) material only.

Polished

For Assembled stainless steel frames, after welding and grinding the welds are polished to maintain the aesthetic appearance of the stainless steel.
